| Idea 3G now available across all districts in Kerala Posted: 14 Mar 2012 06:25 AM PDT Idea Cellular has launched its 3G services in Idukki district including towns in high range like Adimali, Munnar, Kattapana, Thekkady, Mayiladumpara, Anakara, Cheruthony, Kumily, Thadiyampadu and Nedumkandam. Idea 3G is now available across all the districts in Kerala. Idea launched 3G service in Kerala last April that is available in Kottayam, Kochi, Calicut, Trichur, Palghat, Kannur, Malapuram, Alleppey, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Trivandrum and Nedumangad. This allows the Idea 3G subscribers enjoy high-speed Internet Browsing, Video conferencing, Mobile TV and Video on demand. Idea 3G now covers 50% of the Kerala population within less than 1 year of launch. It has 13 lakh 3G subscribers and 1700 3G cell sites in the circle. |
| Sony Xperia S gets PlayStation Store Posted: 14 Mar 2012 05:07 AM PDT PlayStation Store is now available for the Sony Xperia S that was announced this January at CES. The Sony Xperia S is PlayStation Certified smartphone similar to the Xperia Play. Xperia S users need to go to the Let's start PS Store icon in the app tray and download PlayStation Store and PS Pocket apps (Enable install apps from Unknown sources from Settings > Application). Users can download range of 14 PlayStation certified titles including, Twisted Metal, Kula World, MediEvil, Rayman, Jumping Flash!, Destruction Derby, Jet Rider, Jet Rider 2, Cool Boarders, Kurushi Final, Everybody's Golf 2, The Little Mermaid II, Championship Bass and Driver from the PlayStation Store. These games are priced at £3.99 each in UK. The PlayStation Store is now available for Xperia S owners in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Australia. | HTC confirms Android 4.0 ICS update for 16 devices Posted: 13 Mar 2012 11:41 PM PDT HTC has confirmed the complete list of devices that would be upgraded to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). HTC confirmed the list of devices that would get the ICS update last November and added more devices to the upgrade list last month. They also announced that Sensation devices would be the first to get the ICS update in March. HTC has now announced that the update is now rolling out for the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE that are in early starge and would take next few weeks for update to reach globally. The HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XL would get the update followed by it.
